Writer & Director Michael Dole & The Daughters present From the Heart, a documentary series for the Uluru Statement from the Heart that brings the campaign for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament into vivid, human focus. Filmed on Country at Kalkarindji, on the lands of the Gurindji people in remote Northern Territory, the series places community leaders, Elders and younger voices at the centre of the frame as the handwritten signatures of the Uluru Statement – an invitation to all Australians – are projected across their faces, skin and Country.

As these words of law and hope wash over them in light, we hear their inner voices: stories of struggle and survival, of healing, pride and a better future they can see but are still fighting for. The result is a quiet, powerful portrait of a nation being asked not just to listen, but to walk with First Nations peoples towards a fairer Australia.
