In collaboration with Flume, Artist/Director Jonathan Zawada & Director Michael Dole created Hi This Is Flume, a long-form music film about an artist shedding his own limits and surrendering to the abstract. Dropped with just 24 hours’ notice and breaking a two-year silence, the 43-minute, 17-track visual mixtape follows Harley through inner and outer worlds as he performs, questions and ultimately frees himself from the pressures of constant reinvention. Guided by his inner self – a clone – and his outer shell – a heavily customised 1985 Nissan 300ZX – the film blurs metaphor and reality, performance and process.

Part narrative, part art document, Hi This Is Flume becomes a hallucinatory road trip through ego, doubt, play and release, capturing one of Australia’s most celebrated producers carving out his next chapter in real time.
