ILABB
Live without barriers
Writer & Director Michael Dole & The Daughters bring ilabb’s ethos to the screen in Live Without Barriers, a short film that dives into the wild, internal landscape of what it means to truly ride your own line. Shot in the remote sand dunes of Glinks Gully on New Zealand’s North Island, the film follows Olympic freestyle skier and TV host Anna Willcox as she trades snow for sand, carving down 100-metre dune faces on custom “sand skis”. Moving between her conscious focus and subconscious drift, we experience the world as she does when fear of judgement falls away – a place where terrain is just texture, boundaries blur, and the act of going within allows her to see beyond and let go.
Live Without Barriers is less a sports film and more a kinetic state of mind, capturing the raw, restless spirit of ilabb people who choose to move through the world without flinching.
