SETMO FEAT. CAMP 8

Something to dream of

Writer & Director Michael Dole & The Daughters bring Set Mo feat. Camp 8’s Something To Dream Of to life as a dreamlike study of attachment, loss and the courage to let go. Through an intimate visual narrative, we follow a woman drifting between conscious and subconscious states, at times almost projected into her own body – trapped inside the reality she has built around another person. Entwined in strings, she becomes a living metaphor for all that must be unravelled after love turns to obsession. In a series of visceral acts she pulls herself free: tearing open her luggage and throwing out its contents, shedding the emotional baggage that has stunted her growth, wrapping herself in plastic as a fragile attempt at preservation before finally stepping out of it.

By the film’s end, she and her counterpart move forward together, the weight of the past falling away in a rush of euphoric release – an unspoken promise to leave old attachments behind and reclaim something new to dream of.
